Man, 18, arrested in 'road rage' beating; victim still recovering

Police have made an arrest in a road rage incident from last week.

CALEDONIA TOWNSHIP, MICH. - An 18-year-old Ada man has been arrested in connection to a "road rage incident" that occurred last month.

Christian William Hillman faces a charge of assault with intent to commit great bodily harm less than murder. He was arrested on Tuesday, Oct. 4, and lodged at the Kent County Correctional Facility where he is waiting to be arraigned.

Witnesses say 64-year-old William McFarlan was beaten by three young men just before 9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, on Whitneyville Avenue south of 60th Street.

According to the sheriff's department, McFarlan remains in the hospital with serious injuries.

It is unclear at this time if deputies are seeking any other suspects.
