KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) - A former Western Michigan University student has been charged with making threats last year about a campus shooting.
A grand jury returned an indictment Thursday against Timothy Siangdun, accusing the 44-year-old of posting threats on the school's Facebook site as well as two others in August 2013.
WMU spokeswoman Cheryl Roland tells the Kalamazoo Gazette (http://bit.ly/1qOfMbB) that Siangdun was an electrical engineering student at the time but no longer is a student. A message seeking comment from him was not immediately returned Friday.
Roland says Siangdun's alleged threats didn't lead to a public warning to people on campus because it was determined that he was miles away near Battle Creek.
