GRAND RAPIDS - A Kent County jury convicted a man of shooting and killing his girlfriend last November, in front of a city street crew. Jermaine Cooper was found guilty of second-degree murder in the November Sixth death of Melissa Moore.
Moore, a mother of two, was gunned down on Knapp Street, near Truxton Drive NE. Cooper was arrested in Detroit in early December following a seven-hour stand-off. He faces up to life in prison when he returns to court for sentencing on November 28th.
