MUSKEGON, MICH. - A Grand Rapids man will spend more than five years in prison for a triple shooting outside Muskegon Heights High School.
Clarence McCaleb fired at a group of students leaving a basketball game at the high school in February 2016. He then raised his gun at a sheriff's deputy and was shot.
Shortly after the incident, Muskegon Heights Police Chief Joseph Thomas said he would not tolerate people bringing violence into the community.
McCaleb has a lengthy criminal record.
Police say he's a known member of the the Bemis Boys street gang in Grand Rapids.
