Man recovering from Monday night shooting

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - A 23-year-old man was walking on Neland Avenue near Bates Street in southeast Grand Rapids on Monday, Nov. 7, when a suspect fired several shots at the ground.

The man ran from the scene, only later discovering he had been shot. The man is recovering from non-life threatening injuries.

Officers were unable to locate the scene. The suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 25 years old, 6 feet tall, and weighing 150 pounds.
