LUDINGTON, MICH. - The result of a weeks-long investigation has led to the arrest of a 35-year-old man and multiple charges filed against him, including criminal sexual conduct.
Ryan Herrea of Custer, Mich., was arrested during a traffic stop Friday, March 3, on U.S. 10, according to a Mason County Sheriff's Office news release.
Police say a three-week investigation involving the sheriff's office and the Scottville Police Department into allegations of Herrea providing marijuana to a child in exchange for sexual acts led to his arrest.
Herrea is charged with the following:
-Two counts of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree -- person under 13 years old
-Two counts of accosting a child for immoral purposes
-Child sexually abusive material
-Controlled substance; delivery/manufacture marijuana
-Controlled substance; maintaining a drug house
Herrera is being held at the Mason County Jail, with bond set a half-million dollars on the sexual charges and $50,000 on being a habitual offender.
