NORTON SHORES, MICH. - Police are searching the Norton Shores home that at one time belonged to the grandfather of murder and kidnapping suspect Jeffrey Willis.
It's not the first time they've been to the home on Bailey Street.
WZZM 13's Jon Mills was at the scene. Police told him Willis often spent time at the home and that detectives continue to work on the case daily. The Norton Shores police chief added detectives are looking for, "any possible connections to the Heeringa investigation."
Willis is charged with the death of Rebekah Bletsch in 2014 and attempting to kidnap a 16-year-old girl earlier this year.
Bletsch was shot and killed while jogging alone along Automobile Road.
Last week, Jeffrey Willis' cousin Kevin Bluhm plead guilty to lying to police during the Jessica Heeringa investigation. He initially told them he helped Willis get rid of Jessica's body, but later contradicted himself and said he made it all up.
