Police looking for 2 connected to Muskegon Heights shooting

MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, MICH. - The Muskegon Heights Police Department is looking for two people of interest in a deadly shooting from Thursday night. 

Police in Muskegon Heights were dispatched to a shooting around  9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017. The shooting occurred in the area of Jefferson Street between Norton Avenue and Maplewood Avenue.

One person was killed in the shooting. Muskegon Heights Police Chief Joseph Thomas says this was not a random shooting. He says the individuals involved in the shooting met for a particular reason, but police cannot go into detail about the reason behind that meeting. Chief Thomas says a task force is actively working on investigating the shooting death.
