Muskegon shooting victim had PPO against suspect

MUSKEGON, MICH. - According to Muskegon County court records, one of the victims of Tuesday's shooting, Linda Jamerson, had an active personal protection order against suspect Jaraun Render.

In filing the paperwork, Jamerson told the judge she had dated Render, lived with him and had children with him. In the same paperwork, she said 22-year-old Render threatened to kill her multiple times after their relationship ended -- going so far as to tell the judge that he carried a gun and she is afraid he will kill her.

Jamerson, 19, remains in critical condition after Tuesday's shooting.

Additionally, Jamerson claims Render beat her, dragged her by her hair and has hit her in the face multiple times.

The personal protection order does not expire until March 1, 2018.

Jamerson is the mother of all three children that were abducted by Render. He was father to two of them. Muskegon police say the children were found at a different location than where Render's SUV was found.
