Online sale leads to armed robbery in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Police in Grand Rapids are looking into two incidents that happened within a block of each other.

The first happened on Caulfield Avenue near B Street around 9 p.m. Monday, July 10.

Police say an armed robbery happened in the street. People were meeting for some sort of Craigslist or Facebook sale when it happened.

One person is in custody and another is at large. Police say they aren't sure if there was more than one victim.

Just a few hours later, around 12:45 a.m., a nearby home was shot at. Police say numerous bullets were fired, and there were people inside.

One person was grazed by a bullet and another was hurt by flying debris.

At this point, police aren't sure if the two incidents are related.
