Police: 2 suspects arrested in connection to armed robbery

WYOMING, MICH. - Wyoming Police say that two people have been arrested and taken in for questioning after three men were robbed at gunpoint early Saturday morning.

Wyoming police officers say around 3 a.m., three men were in a parking lot on Michael Avenue SW near Alger Street SW when they were robbed of their wallets, money and cell phones at gunpoint by three Hispanic men. The victims were also physically assaulted during the robbery, but are expected to be okay.

Police describe the suspects as three Hispanic men in their early to mid-20's. Police say the suspects had a handgun during the robbery.

The three suspects left the area in a white Nissan Altima.

Wyoming Police Lieutenant Mark Easterly says Grand Rapids police stopped what they believed to the suspect car later Saturday morning and arrested two people who may be connected to the robbery.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Wyoming Department of Public Safety at 616-530-7300 or Silent Observer at 616-774-2345.
