Police find child porn on Wyoming man's computer

WYOMING, MICH. - A Wyoming man has been charged with multiple counts of child pornography, and police say he's a habitual offender. 

According to a news release from Wyoming Police Department, police arrested 51-year-old Rodney Buchanan at his home on Wednesday, July 12 and recovered incriminating evidence following an investigation of his online activity. 

Buchanan was arrested and lodged at the Kent County Correctional Facility.  Police say he is a habitual offender.

He was arraigned on July 14, is formally charged with five offenses by the Kent County Prosecutor's Office, including: child sexually abusive material distribution, child sexually abusive activity, child sexually abusive material possession and using a computer to commit a crime. 

The Wyoming Police Department worked closely with Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force during this investigation.
