Police: 2 men steal phones from Sprint store

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Police responded to a report of an armed robbery at a phone store Saturday afternoon.

Officers were called just after 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, to the Sprint location on Michigan Street and Diamond Avenue NE. Two suspects entered the store and forced employees into a room before taking off with several phones, according to a Grand Rapids Police Department news release.

No one was hurt.

One suspect is described as a black man, 5-foot-5-inches tall and about 120 pounds, police say. He was wearing a light colored sweatshirt and dark pants. The second suspect also is a black male, thin build and is about 5-foot-10-inches tall. He was seen wearing a black sweatshirt.

Both suspects were wearing masks and left the scene in a white vehicle, possibly a Chevrolet sedan, police say.
