GRPD: Three separate stabbings in the city of Grand Rapids

Recent GR stabbings

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Three people were stabbed in Grand Rapids on Friday, March 10, 2017.

Grand Rapids Police Department believe the three incidents were unrelated.

The first resulted in the death of Isaac Miguel, 60, at the 800th block of Sheffield Avenue in the Black Hills neighborhood around 2:00 a.m. The suspect, a 41-year-old male, called police shortly before 2:00 a.m. admitting to the deadly stabbing.

Police are not releasing the relation of the two men at this time, but it does appear they lived together. 

The second incident occurred around 7:45 a.m. a female suspect, in her 30s, was taken into custody for causing bodily harm to a 62-year-old male victim. He is recovering from non-life threatening injuries at this time. This altercation occurred at the 800 block of Worden Street. Just off Eastern Avenue. 

The third stabbing happened around 11:00 a.m. Police were dispatched to Powers Street. The condition of the third victim has not been released.

It is unclear what the cause of all three incidents is, but three suspects are in custody as of right now.
