Surveillance video: Driver sought after motorcycle crash

Hit and run suspect sought

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Grand Rapids police are looking for a driver who took off from a hit run crash involving a motorcycle. It happened just before 7 p.m. Wednesday  at the intersection of Leonard St NW & Tamarack Ave NW. 

The accident was captured on the surveillance camera at the Geek Group. The video has been slowed down to better see the cars involved. Police tell us witnesses say the motorcyclist ran the red light at close to 70 miles per hour and when a car approaching the intersection tried to stop, it was hit from behind by Chevy Impala.

The driver of the Impala took off from the scene.The motorcyclist was not seriously hurt. If you have information about the accident call Grand Rapids Police.
