Suspect arrested; no one hurt in Newaygo County drive-by shooting

BIG PRAIRIE TOWNSHIP, MICH. - Police in Newyago County are investigating an overnight drive-by shooting.

It happened just after 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7. Police say the intended victim was sitting in a car parked on Pine Avenue near 40th Street when another driver pulled up and fired at shot in the car.

The victim was not hurt.

Police arrested a 24-year-old White Cloud man in the incident. That suspect is awaiting arraignment on the charge of assault with intent to commit murder.

Additional charges are being considered by the Newaygo County Prosecutor.
