Suspect in 2004 murder enters guilty plea

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WZZM) -- A ten-year-old cold case murder in Grand Rapids is officially closed.

Walter Wilson, 33, entered a guilty plea to second-degree murder in the shooting death of Robert Farmer.

Farmer was shot during an attempted robbery of a party store in October 2004.

Before coming back to Grand Rapids earlier this year, Wilson had been serving a 15-year sentence for an unrelated crime in Pennsylvania.
