Drunk driver's 10th offense

MASON COUTNY, MICH. - A 52-year-old man is in jail and being held on his tenth charge of driving under the influence of alcohol, deputies in Mason County say.

Joseph Booker had been drinking heavily when he got behind the wheel of his car and crashed it near County Line Road and Custer Road, Monday afternoon.

According to deputies, Booker's roadside breath test showed his blood alcohol level at .28 -- nearly four times the legal limit.

Booker was the only person involved in the crash. He remains in the Mason County Jail.
