Easter 2017: Egg hunts, brunches and bunny hops in West Michigan

WEST MICHIGAN - Dozens of communities and organizations across West Michigan will be taking part in Easter weekend festivities like egg hunts, brunches and bunny hops.

If you're not sure where in your area all the fun is happening, just check this list:

 

BARRY COUNTY

W.K. Kellogg Manor House -- Easter Brunch

Reservations required, brunch will be offered a variety of times. Cocktail menu will be offered. Non-member adults will cost $31, member adults will cost $28, children between 5 and 12-years-old will cost $17 and all children under four are free. Kulture City Sensory Friendly -- Easter Egg Hunt

An egg hunt for all special-needs children. Children with siblings will be allowed to walk alongside hunters, but not participate. The Easter Bunny will be present handing out surprises and taking photos. Refreshments will be served and face painting.

All-you-can-eat pancake breakfast -- cost for adults is $4, children ages 5 to 10 is $2 and children under five are free. The Easter Egg Hunt is free for children up to 10-years-old.

Byron Township Recreation -- Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday, April 15 starting 11 a.m. Children ages 2-5 scheduled for 11 a.m. and children ages 6-11 are scheduled to start at 11:15 a.m.
Search for eggs, especially the ones with special prizes, and visit with the Easter Bunny.

Northview High School -- The Jellybean Run

Saturday, April 15 from 8:30 - 10 a.m.
A run/walk with an i-Spy twist. The 3K course is stroller and wheelchair-friendly. There will be a free egg hunt afterwards. Individual price is $5 and family price is $10 (additional processing fees will apply). Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the race, check-in begins at 8 a.m. 

Koetsier's Kids Club -- Easter Egg Hunt & Succulent Gardens

Indoor and outdoor activities will be available like breakfast treats, face painting, horse-drawn wagon rides, egg hunts, meet and greet with the Easter Bunny, petting zoo, arts and crafts, live music and a change to meet the therapy horses. Tickets are limited and available at Equest Center Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. and 5 - 8 p.m. There is no ticket price, but donations are accepted. Children 4 and under will start their egg hunt earlier than children 5 and up. The children will collect eggs in the pool and turn them in for prizes. Pool staff will also hold a registration drive for Learn-to-Swim, Fitness and American Red Cross safety courses.

Howard Christensen Nature Center -- Easter Egg Hunt & Pancake Brunch

Brunch will be served served from noon to p.m., the egg hunt will start afterwards for all ages. HCNH members will need to pay $3 for brunch and can participate in the egg hunt for free. Non-members will have to $5 per person for brunch or $15 per family of four or more. Includes the Easter Egg Hunt. If you only want to participate in the egg hunt, it's a $1 per egg hunter.
