GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Students and teachers at Ken-O-Sha Elementary in Grand Rapids had a reason to celebrate Monday, Oct. 10.
The school unveiled it's $15,000 media room makeover. The upgrade was part of a makeover competition sponsored by the Grand Rapids Griffins and Farm Bureau Insurance.
The Ken-O-Sha building is 52 years old, and it was chosen from a list of 21 schools from across Kent County.
Ken-O-Sha serves 162 students from pre-school to 5th Grade. Many of the children are physically impaired in some way. The school also provides special education services for the county's 20 school districts.
