Museum school takes another step forward

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WZZM) -- The Grand Rapids Public Schools district's proposed museum school is one step closer to reality.

The Grand Rapids Public Museum's board of trustees approved the plan for the school on Wednesday. Along with the museum, GRPS, Grand Valley State University's College of Education, and Ferris State University's Kendall College of Art and Design are working on the program.

The school is set to open in the fall of 2015 with 6th grade.
