Employee gets 90 days in jail for baking metal into bread

MUSKEGON, MICH. - The bakery worker in Muskegon County who prosecutors say say put metal into bread will serve jail time for the crime.

Adam Brooks received a 90 day jail sentence for placing pieces of a metal cooling rack into bread at R.W. Bakers Company in Norton Shores.

None of the bread made it to customers, thanks to co-workers who reported Brooks to managers.

Brooks entered a no contest plea to the charge.

He will also be on probation for 20 months and pay around $2,500 in restitution and court fines.
