'Extremely high and violent' man chases people out of home

BEDFORD TOWNSHIP, MICH. - A man is in the Calhoun County jail after police say he broke into a home on Riviera Drive early Wednesday, July 5 and chased out the people inside.

Officers with the Battle Creek Police Department say around 4:30 a.m. the man got in through the sliding glass door. He started smashing things like a big-screen TV and an expensive guitar.

After chasing the homeowners out the front door, the suspect went back in and officers found him hiding in a bedroom.

He was arrested and will be facing felony charges.
