GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Since President Trump’s announcement Thursday that the U.S. will withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement, mayors from across the country have pledged to uphold the environmental standards recognized in the agreement.
Mayor Rosalynn Bliss joined nearly 100 other mayors who committed to the Cities For Climate Campaign, saying in a statement: “As a city, we remain dedicated to getting to 100 percent renewable energy by 2025.”
With more shared transportation like the Rapid, the expansion of bike paths and the push to restore the river... it should come to no surprise that Grand Rapids joins other citie like Ann Arbor and Traverse City in their commitment to the Cities for Climate campaign.
