GRPD need help identifying man found in Highland Park

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - On Thursday, Grand Rapids Police Department released more details on an investigation involving a body found at Highland Park on Wednesday.

GRPD says the identity of the man found dead in Highland Park on Wednesday is still unknown. His body was one of two found that day.

He is identified as an adult man with the letters "J R" tattooed on his right upper arm. GRPD says his race, or ethnicity, is still unclear. The autopsy results are inconclusive at this time while authorities wait for the toxicology results.

Police received a call about a body in the marsh area of the park on Wednesday afternoon. They believe the man had been in the water for days but say there is no obvious signs of trauma.
