Massage, accupuncture can help breast cancer treatments

Complimentary alternative treatments

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Sometimes with a breast cancer diagnosis, conventional medicine isn't enough to ease the anxiety and pain associated with treatments.

Many doctors will prescribe complementary alternative medicine to help with their patient’s diagnosis.

Jackie Koekkoek, program liaison for the Mercy Health Wege Institute for Mind, Body & Spirit, talks with Health Reporter Valerie Lego about how these services are helping breast cancer patients in our community every day.

Watch the full interview in the video above.

The Wege Institute for Mind, Body and Spirit is open to the General Public no doctor's referral or prescription is needed. People can call or schedule their appointment online.
