GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Why do we race? We race for our mothers, our daughters, our friends and our wives.
An average of 35 women lose their battle with breast cancer every month throughout Komen Michigan's 20-county service area. But the progress made with your continued support helps to reach a vision of a world without breast cancer.
Every year, The Komen Race for the Cure promotes positive awareness, education and early detection of breast cancer.
As well as being a road race for runners, the Komen Race for the Cure is an emotionally charged event that attracts many first timers and recreational runners.
The Komen Race for the Cure is an opportunity for thousands of women, men and their families, running or walking, to spread the breast cancer message within their communities.
