Spectrum Health offers new option for women dealing with labor pain

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - When you're expecting a baby, there are a number of questions that go through your mind.

One of the biggest questions that many pregnant women experience is how labor pain will be managed.

Spectrum Health has now started offering nitrous oxide to women during labor.  Annie Evans is nurse manager for labor and delivery at Butterworth Hospital and she explained how it works.

The nitrous oxide option is being offered at the Butterworth Birthing Center:
