Gluten Free Pan-Fried Ahi Tuna (in Extra Virgin Olive Oil) with Fruit Salsa

Ingredients
-
2-3 Ahi Tuna Steaks (approximately 1" thick)
- 2 Tsp Willy O's Italian Spice Blend
- Sea Salt to taste, (optional)
- Fresh Ground Pepper Corn to taste, (optional)
- 4-5 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Prepare Salsa prior to frying Ahi. Place Olive Oil in pan over medium heat. Heat pan to 350 F . Sprinkle both sides of Ahi with Willy O's Italian Spice Blend and Salt & Pepper to taste. Carefully place Ahi in pan to avoid splattering. Cook until light browning occurs on edges, approximately 5 minutes. Flip and cook again until light browning occurs.
Plate Ahi and spoon on Willy O's Fruit Salsa. Garnish with a sprig of Cilantro. Ahi can be substituted with Mahi Mahi, Sword Fish, or boneless Chicken Breast, if desired.

Willy O's Fruit Salsa

Ingredients
-
2-3 Ripe Kiwifruit, peeled, carefully chopped
- 2 Fresh Mandarin Oranges, peeled, separated & sliced in 1/2
- 1 Pomegranate, De- Seeded, use seeds only
- 1 Avocado, peeled and course chopped
- 1/4 cup course chopped Red Onion
- 1 Fresh Jalapeño Pepper, course chopped, (remove seeds, for less heat) ¼ cup Cilantro, course chopped
- 1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil or Gluten Free Italian Dressing to taste Sea Salt and Fresh Ground Pepper Corn to taste, (optional)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Place the Kiwi, Oranges, Pomegranate Seeds, Avocado, Red Onion, Jalapeño, Cilantro and Olive Oil in a medium bowl and gently toss. Salt and Pepper to taste.
