Local nonprofit offers accessible healthcare

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - It's the time of year we are making decisions about our healthcare options for next year. Over the last few weeks we've been talking a lot about the prices of those options.

With the cost of healthcare going up, and the number of options going down -- we wanted to tell you about a resource in West Michigan you may want to take advantage of.

Barbara Grinwis from Oasis of Hope Center joined the WZZM 13 News at Noon to explain. Grinwis is the executive director and a volunteer healthcare provider for the nonprofit.

  • Patient Advocacy

Oasis of Hope Center opened in 2007. According to its website, "OHC exists to offer hope in Jesus' name...affordable, accessible and available healthcare is the vehicle we use to deliver it."
