CUTLERVILLE, MICH. - Pine Rest says they will be able to do a better job of helping teenagers and young adults in Kent County. The mental health facility unveiled their new Cutlerville Campus, Tuesday afternoon June 27, 2017.

The Cypress Flex Unit opens for patients on July 5, and managers say it gives them the ability to separate age groups and to better care for them.

The new unit increases the number of patients Pine Rest cn treat every year. "We have so many turnaways, we are turning away people all of the time because we just don't have enough beds. So the fact that we're opening this additional 26 bed unit," says Heather Trieb, Pine Rest Director of Operations for Hospital based service. She adds, "Having 26 beds available will hopefully help alleviate that."
