Indiana woman accused of ramming Michigan trooper's car during chase

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, MICH. - An Indiana woman is in a Michigan jail, after she allegedly rammed a trooper's car during a chase says our affiliate ABC 57.

Michigan State Police say it happened around 11:00 Wednesday night on U.S. 12 in Saint Joseph County, Michigan.

Troopers say the woman was speeding, and they tried to pull her over. They began chasing her, with speeds reaching 75-85 miles per hour. The pursuit went through a residential neighborhood.

They say at one point, she rammed a trooper's car instead, and struck another vehicle.

The chase ended on U.S. 131 at Riverside Drive.

No one was hurt.

Investigators say the woman is from Plymouth, Indiana, but they are not releasing her name.

She faces numerous charges including felony assault and hit and run.

MSP says drug use is suspected.
