(WZZM)—Just in time for the Fourth of July weekend, a manufacturer is recalling fireworks that may misfire.
Winco is recalling its Contraband 24 fireworks kit with the model number of JP-933. The kits were sold at fireworks retailers between February and June of this year. Winco says the canister tube may be too narrow, so the shell could blow a hole in the canister during firing, posing burn dangers to users and bystanders. The company has received two reports or problems; one person suffered minor burns and cuts to their legs.
Customers should return the recalled kits to the store they purchased them at for a full refund by Winco. For additional recall information, call (888) 697-2217 or visit Winco's website.
