Jimmy John's supports (RED), donates $100K in the fight against AIDS

Jimmy John's and (RED) have teamed up in the month of June to support the fight against AIDS.

The gourmet sandwich restaurant chain has donated $100,000 to EAT (RED) SAVE LIVES, led by Chef Mario Batali.

Jimmy John's is not alone -- according to the (RED) website, Hello Fresh is offering (RED) meal kits -- Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza, Luke's Lobster and Forkable have all collaborated to offer special (RED) meals and donate to the cause this June.

Just 30 cents a day can provide one day of HIV/AIDS medication in sub-Saharan Africa and in nearly 10 years since (RED)'s launch, $465 million has been raised to support The Global Fund's work. That money has been used to finance HIV/AIDS grants in Ghana, Rwanda, Kenya, South Africa, Swaziland, Lesotho, Tanzania and Zambia -- impacting more than 90 million people.
