21-year-old swimmer dies after being pulled from Fremont Lake

A 21-year-old man has died after being pulled from Fremont Lake.

FREMONT, MICH. - A 21-year-old man died soon after he was pulled from Fremont Lake.

Crews were called around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, to a report of a missing swimmer, according to a news release. He was found in 14 feet of water not long after the Newaygo County Dive Team arrived.

The man, who has not been identified pending his family being notified, was taken to an area hospital before being transferred to Grand Rapids.
