Grand Rapids NBA D-League team seeks cheerleaders

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- The city's new NBA Developmental League team is seeking cheerleaders and dancers for its new squad.

The team is moving to Grand Rapids from Springfield , Massachusetts. It will be affiliated with the Detroit Pistons, and play its games at the DeltaPlex in Walker.

The team is holding auditions for cheerleaders and dancers on Sunday, June 8, at the MVP Fieldhouse at 5435 28th Street Ct. SE in Cascade Township. Registration is at noon, with tryouts running from 1-5 p.m.

People auditioning should wear dance attire and non-marking shoes, and come in full hair and makeup. They are asked to bring a headshot photo, dance resume and $10 for the tryout fee. All participants must be 18 or older.
