With Round 2 now underway there's no better time to make your voice heard in ArtPrize.

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - The public vote is one of the things that makes ArtPrize unique.

With round two now underway, there's no better time to make your voice heard -- voting ends at 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6.

To start, search ArtPrize in your app store, and download it for free. Make sure your location settings are turned on, because the app will ask for your phone number to send you a confirmation code.

Enter that code, and you're registered to vote.

"You can vote for as many of those 20 finalists as you like," said Kevin Buist, the exhibitions director of ArtPrize. "You can vote one time, you can vote 19 times, you can even vote 20 times. This is when it really counts.

"The votes from round one are zeroed out, everybody started today with zero votes at 2 p.m, so it's anybody's ball game and now's the time to vote."

As long as you've registered and activated your location downtown once, you can vote for your favorites from home or anywhere else for the duration of ArtPrize.

These 20 finalists now compete for the public vote grand prize -- $200,000 -- and $12,500 in the four respective category awards with the conclusion of round one voting.
