Battle Creek men arrested for fight, gunfire

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WZZM) -- Two men are facing assault charges this morning for a fight that led to gunfire at a Battle creek home.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday on East Emmett Street near Capital Avenue.

Investigators were checking on a 57-year-old man, who was in a pickup truck outside the home. He told officers he and the 58-year-old man inside the house had gotten into a fight.

The man in the truck allegedly hit the older man over the head with the chair. The older man reportedly fired a gun at the truck, but no one was hit.

The man accused of firing the gun was arrested on a charge of assault with intent. The man in the truck was not taken into custody, but police say he's facing a charge of felonious assault.
