Battle Creek man arrested for shooting into an occupied van

BATTLE CREEK, MICH. - A 50-year-old Battle Creek man was arrested after police say he fired shot into an occupied van on early Saturday morning. 

Around 4:20 a.m. on Saturday, police were called to the area of Goodale Avenue and Wood Street on reports of gunshots fired. Police say a 50-year-old man fired several shots from a handgun during a dispute, into an occupied van.

No one was injured, but the man was arrested for reckless discharge of a firearm.

The Battle Creek Police Department will continue to investigate the incident.
