Police: Arrest made after shooting outside of convenience store

BATTLE CREEK, MICH. - Police have arrested the man responsible for shooting another outside of a convenience store early Saturday morning.

The shooting happened just after 12 a.m. in the parking lot of Liberty Food Mart located at 621 Capital Avenue SW.

The victim, a 45-year-old man, was shot three times in the right leg. He was taken to the hospital where police say he is in good condition. 

Police were able to arrest the suspect, a 35-year-old Battle Creek man, after following some leads that quickly developed. 

The case will be sent to the Prosecutor's Office for review come Monday.
