JAMESTOWN TOWNSHIP, MICH. - A 14-year-old boy who was hit by a car Monday, June 27 was once a passenger in that car, according to Ottawa County deputies.
Hayden Barker of Allendale is in serious but stable condition at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital after being hit around 8:27 p.m. on Adams Street just west of 40th Avenue.
Deputies say Barker was riding in a car driven by 16-year-old Ghabriel Domeier of Byron Center. Barker got out and started walking east on Adams Street.
When the car hit Barker, deputies say Domeier was looking for Barker, trying to pick him up.
It's not clear at this point why Barker got out of the car.
