Grand Rapids Police Foundation hopes to boost community involvement

Grand Rapids Police Foundation now in place

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - The Grand Rapids Police Foundation was created in 2016 with the goal of boosting community involvement for the Grand Rapids Police Department.

The organization supports the Citizen's Police Academy, the Youth Police Academy, the Explorer's Program and OnBase baseball league.

There is an open house Wednesday, June 14, for members of the community to get a chance to meet members of the force, and see how things work at the police department. There will be information, food and games for people to enjoy. The open house is free and runs from 4-8 p.m.

Anyone wishing to make a donation to the Grand Rapids Police Foundation can do so by following this link.
