Missing man, 19, with autism found safe

COMSTOCK PARK, MICH. - UPDATE: Kent County Deputies say Barnhart has been located and is safe.  They have not released any other details on where he was found or the circumstances of his disappearance.

 

 

ORIGINAL STORY: Police ask the public's help in finding a missing 19-year-old man with autism.

Markell Keith Barnhart last was seen around 8:36 a.m. Monday, April 17, in the area of Comstock Park High School on 6 Mile Road, according to a Kent County Sheriff's Department news release.

The release states Barnhart also is diabetic and takes important medication several times a day.

He is a black male, about 5-foot-3-inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. He last was seen wearing a black jacket, black pants and black shoes with white soles.

Anyone with information about Barnhart's whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Kent County Sheriff's Department at 616-632-6100.
