4 teens hurt in rollover crash

POLKTON TOWNSHIP, MICH. - Four teenagers were taken to the hospital after a rollover crash near Coopersville.

Ottawa County deputies say 16-year-old Sena Verburg from Grand Rapids was driving a 2007 Ford Escape with three friends inside around 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21.

She was headed west on Garfield Street near 76th Avenue when she says she was talking to her friends and not paying attention to the road.

The SUV drifted into the gravel portion of the road and Verburg overcorrected, causing the car to roll over.

Verburg and the other teens were all taken to the hospital, where they are in stable condition and expected to survive. The passengers include 15-year-old Jenna Norder of Walker, 16-year-old Marissa Norder of Walker, and 15-year-old Dalton Clevenger of Coopersville.
