Deputies locate missing Oceana County man with Alzheimers

UPDATE (8:41 a.m.): Merrill has been located and is being treated by EMS.

SHELBY, Mich. - The Oceana County Sheriff's Office needs help finding a missing 76-year-old man.

Arnold Leroy Merrill was reported missing from his home on W Shelby Road around 8:30 p.m., Sunday, April 2.

Merrill is an Alzheimer's patient. A witness may have seen him on W Shelby Road near S 96th Avenue around 11:15 p.m.

Merrill is 5'6" tall and weighs 260 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark pants, a white dress shirt and a red sweater with a long trench coat.

Anyone with information should call the Mason/Oceana Central Dispatch at 231-869-5858.
