DETROIT - Michigan State Police released video showing a suspected drunken driver going the wrong way on I-75 early Friday morning.
Troopers arrested Tonya Berta, 27, of Ida and discovered a young boy under a blanket in the back seat, not in a car seat, when they searched her car, officials said. The child was estimated to be one year old.
Berta has been charged with operating while intoxicated with an occupant less than 16, said Paul Walton with the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office.
According to authorities, the MSP Detroit Regional Dispatch Center started receiving calls about a person driving north in the southbound lanes of I-75 in Detroit around 4:15 a.m.

Troopers stopped the suspected drunken driver and she was arrested near I-696 in Oakland County, police said. Berta’s blood alcohol content has not been released.
She drove from downtown Detroit to Oakland County, State Police First Lt. Michael Shaw said.
No one was injured in the incident. The Detroit Regional Dispatch Center notified Michigan Department of Transportation operations about the driver using electronic messaging boards, police said in a news release.
Child Protective Services are involved in the case, which remains under investigation.
Berta, who was arraigned via video Friday, has her next court hearing on Dec. 19, officials said.
