GRAND RAPIDS - Helen DeVos Children's Hospital hosted their annual celebration for patients and families who can't go trick or treating. This year's event included costume creation stations, along with arts and crafts activities, and candy.
Missy Vanhethekke-Smith, the mother of one patient says the event helps show how much the staff cares, "DeVos Children's Hospital will be the absolute best we have had, spectacular care. The doctors, the nurses, they're taking care of our son, they're taking care of our family, they're taking care of us, and something like this goes to show how much they care about what they're doing."
The Halloween celebration also included superhero window washers. They delighted many of the patients inside by scaling the scaled the side of the building.
