Getaway driver in Owosso murders is sentenced

The getaway driver in the Owosso murders has been sentenced.

CORUNNA, MICH. - Erin Mongar of Grand Rapids, 35, was the getaway driver in a murder in Owosso. A judge sentenced Mongar to 35-60 years in prison for second-degree murder.

Otis Smith Jr. and Anthony Holloway, both of Grand Rapids, were convicted in October for the deaths of 31-year-old Joseph Carson and 39-year-old Anthony Hammond, both from Flint.

Their bodies were both found in a store's parking lot in Shiawassee County.

Smith Jr. and Holloway are awaiting sentencing.

Police say the killings came after a deal to sell marijuana that was arranged online through Craigslist.
