Girlfriend to be charged in deadly Newaygo Co. stabbing

ENSLEY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) -- A 26-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the stabbing death of a 28-year-old Sand Lake man.

Thursday afternoon, the Newaygo County Prosecutor issued an arrest warrant for the woman, who family members identify as Tricia Hill. She was set to be charged with second degree murder.

Monday evening, Newaygo County Sheriff's deputies were called to the 6000 block of East 124th Street in Ensley Township, where they found Charles Rainey lying in the entryway of a home with a stab wound to his chest.

Officers administered first aid until medical crews arrived, but Rainey died at the scene.
