Crews clean up crashes on Grand Haven drawbridge

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (WZZM) -- Emergency personnel are cleaning up after two crashes on the drawbridge over the Grand River in Grand Haven.

According to our partner the Grand Haven Tribune, the two crashes happened just before the exit off of the drawbridge.

Police say a pickup truck lost control on the bridge and rolled over several times. A Muskegon man and women inside the truck were both hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries.

Another car, whose driver witnesses say slowed to look at the first crash, ended up in a separate crash on the bridge when it rear-ended another vehicle. That car left the scene after police arrived and cleared it for departure.

Just after 11:00 a.m., one lane of traffic on northbound U.S. 31 began to slowly move through the area.
